Autumn Harvest

The last tree- the apples got picked last week, this weekend was the Kawakami pears.
Vegetables are still going strong, I have 10 tomatoes just waiting to be picked for the tomato/ mozzarella insalata....
I want more trees next year!

I'm with you farmer. Still getting corn, tomatoes, squash, pears, etc. Food from the garden is muy bueno.

Awesome! I've got one red & three green tomatoes, some sad little chives and potatoes/peppers that I'm afraid might fall into the "better luck next time" category.

Those look incredible :).

California is great, eh!?!

How do you keep the worms out of your apples? They've gotten into 90% of mine.

Can you grow much in the winter up there? I'm going to try broccoli and brussel sprouts again, plus lettuce, chard, and collard greens. And potatoes for the first time.

Loving the garden- it's the only thing keeping me motivated to go out back and futz around.

Per the Panda, oh and Miz C says hi, BTW, I cannot solve the pepper problem either, I have some dwarfish little things but can't get them to grow well.

Marco- You kind of got me started on this stuff, actually. This year I used a lot of soil amendments and built a new raised bed with some of the bags of mulch my club used to protect hydrants from racers in the EBC crit.

The apple tree only produced one apple last year, but this year put out roughly 50.
A new drip system seems to have helped.
No worms on most, I bring lot's of ladybugs home on rides, though.
No spray at all.

Good job on the corn, GoFast, I did that last year and learned a few things, but decided to put in asmaller garden this year.

The grape Tomatoes are fantastic this year.
